Historic Oregon City: a new way
History talks, the dramatic "Bound for Oregon" digital presentation, and "please touch" activities are highlights at the End of the Oregon Trail where the presentations change every day. Exquisite petroglyphics and beautifully carved stone bowls are part of the Willamette Valley Indian exhibit at the Museum of the Oregon Territory. You can also see an extraordinary recreation of an early 20th Century pharmacy. Historic Oregon City is the place to discover the unexpected! The heritage of Oregon and the West is all around. Whether you walk the McLoughlin Promenade, ride the Municipal Elevator, or find a special place to browse for antiques, buy a doughnut or have a microbrew, there are things to see and do before or after your museum visit.
Visit one of Oregon's oldest and best known sites, the McLoughlin House, built by the Father of Oregon and operated by the National Park Service. Admission to the McLoughlin House and the neighboring Barclay House is free. Nearby you can also see the Ermatinger house, built in the earliest days of settlement.
Taken all together, the Summer Historic Oregon City Pass is a great deal.
